What’s the difference between Cavern and Cave diving?
Cavern zone is an area where there is a natural light source, the depth does not exceed 70 feet/21 meters and we are at a distance that does not surpass 130 ft/40m from the nearest exit. The Cave zone is beyond the Cavern zone in distance and depth and it’s main characteristic is the absence of a natural light source. Cave diving requires specialized training in order to have a safe dive.

The average water temperature is about 77F/25C and stays this way pretty much throughout the year.
What is the best time of the year to dive in cenotes?
Cenote diving is possible year round. If you want to visit the places with low activity the best time to come would be during low season which is in May, September and October. In these months you’ll see less people at the cenotes and in the Mayan Riviera in general.
What is the visibility like in the cenotes?
In most cases, the water is crystal clear. There are some natural factors that can modify this in some sections of the dive, but in general it’s over 200ft/60m.
Do you provide equipment?
Equipment rental is included in all our courses and private guiding dives. We provide our students with Apeks /Aqualung gear and wetsuits. However, nothing compares diving with your own mask, wetsuit or fins.
Can You Arrange Transfers and Accommodation?
We can arrange transfers and can accommodate you in our modern self-catering apartments. All you have to do is to get in contact with us!
Does taking the course guarantee my certification?
No, certification is not given, it´s earned. During your course you must show understanding of the concepts and reasonable skills. Good judgment, discipline and a responsible attitude are required for you to be a certified Full Cave Diver.
What if I can’t finish the course in the programmed schedule?
Courses are based on objectives and performance, not in time. The duration of our courses were stablished having in mind divers with a competent performance. All students are required to have the minimum skills, buoyancy control and comfort level to participate in any tech or cave courses. Though, it is possible to add more days to the training. The extra day training cost is CN$200.
How do I book my dives or training?
Once you decided you want to book some diving or training with us we need a deposit via Paypal from you in order to confirm your booking with us. Only when we have received a deposit and confirmed to you that we have you on our schedule we will guarantee your training time. We use Paypal for consumer protection. Your protection. We do not take credit card information over the phone or via email.
What is expected from me as student?
From our students we expect to be on time, awake and with a good attitude toward the training they are going to receive. We discourage smoking altogether and particular prior to diving. We understand that you are on vacation but if you arrive on our premises smelling of alcohol you are in the wrong place at the wrong time and the diving day is over for you. We would like to ask our students and divers to be gentle with our dive gear and vehicles. We hope to maintain our rental dive gear well in order to give it to the next student or diver.
